"It was a great trip, a lot better than I thought it would be," Wright told Dawgman.com this afternoon. "I just had a great time. We ate a TON. I had never had filet mignon before and I had it twice on this trip. Know what I'm saying?"
As with his teammate Winston Justice, Manual thought that the Washington practices he saw were on
a different level than the ones he's seen in Southern California. "They were a lot more focused than
at other practices I've seen," he said. "Zach (Tuiasosopo) is just a maniac out on the field."
Wright's host was Terry Johnson. "We just hung out a lot and talked about things. I can see myself
playing there just because most of their best guys on the line are leaving. I come in and play right away."
Manual also talked to Larry Tripplett and Willie Hurst. "Larry told me that if I want to play in the NFL,
this was the place to go to," he said. "I've known Willie for a long time and he was surprised to see
me. He was like, 'Man, you've gotten BIG!' (laughs) They just told me how the city is nice and
Manual also mentioned how he was very impressed with the facilities and the weight room. "They are
top-notch," he said. The coaches also caught his eye. "I like Coach Neuheisel. He's really cool.
And Coach Hart too. He's so intense when he's out there coaching."
The Washington coaches didn't put the squeeze on Wright. "They were cool about that. They didn't
try to pressure me into anything. They told me to take all my trips." Wright is planning on visiting
Miami on January 18th and USC on January 25th. "My teammates are going to
Oregon on the 4th and want me to come with them."
