Beall still open - Huskies still in picture

Dawgman.com heard from the coach of Mountain View High School, which is where the top offensive lineman in the State of Washington attends. OL David Beall had appeared to have Stanford as a very clear leader early on but this recruiting race may be a bit closer than everyone thought.

We have been in touch with David, coach Woody, and yesterday spoke with the defensive coordinator for Mountain View. He reports that David told him that before his visit to Seattle he was a virtual lock to Stanford, "probably 90%".

Now he is reportedly still very up in the air. If the UW trip were later in the process, the coach felt that there was a chance that he may have probably committed to the Huskies.

Beall will visit UCLA and OSU but the teams to beat right now are definitely UW and Stanford. Washington did an incredible job on his visit of selling him on the school and program. Now it's a matter of whether or not Stanford can hold off the Husky charge when the Cardinal entertains Beall in late January.

Washington, perhaps surprisingly, is very much still in the mix for Beall. At 6-6 300 pounds, he would project nicely as an offensive tackle and is widely regarded as the finest big man in the state this year.
