"Not yet," Will told Dawgman.com tonight. "I have a trip to the Air Force this coming weekend and then I'll decide. Keith Gilbertson just called about 10 minutes ago and offered again to have me walk-on at U-Dub." Washington is recruiting Will as a receiver. "I think it's a numbers thing," he said. "It sounds like they have the players they wanted, but he told me that he feels there would be a scholarship available for me next year."
Haas was All-KingCo 4A as a receiver, nabbing 44 balls for 895 yards, including 10 for touchdowns.
He was also an Honorable Mention pick as a defensive back. Right now, he's playing hoops for
Juanita. "I'm really not much of a basketball player," he said. "I'm probably averaging about 8 points
a game. I play a forward spot, but I really don't post up."
EWU has Will's interest right now. "They said that their offense is really based around the tight end
and they want me to be a tight end," he said. "I would put on pounds my first year and then be
ready to play my redshirt freshman year. It would be kind of cool too, because I can hit someone too.
As a receiver you don't really get to do that at all."
While Eastern is where Will is leaning, he hasn't ruled out the Dawgs. "It would be nice to stay close
to home and Keith Gilbertson is a cool coach," Haas said. "It's 50/50 right now, but I would have to
say that I'm leaning towards Eastern. Plus they have good players coming in, like the quarterback from
Pasco (Skyler Allen) and Kevin Jones."
And the Falcons? "I'm really not sure about them," he said. "They don't give out scholarships, you
just go there for free, but I'm not sure I'm that kind of a guy - getting up at 5:30 every morning and
cleaning everything. I know my parents would like me to go there. They want me to clean up my
Juanita athlete looking east?
