Tyrone Davis to Washington

Tyrone Davis is a 6-3, 230-pound defensive end from Olympia, Washington and Tyrone was thinking of taking one more visit before making a final decision, but that was cut short Wednesday with his verbal commitment to Washington over Oregon and Eastern Washington.

"Yeah I committed tonight," Davis told Dawgman.com. "I just liked the whole direction the program is going. I really like the coaches, and even though I haven't gotten a chance to see them coach yet they are great people."

Davis told Randy Hart and Tyrone Willingham of his decision to become a Dawg. "They were really glad I did it," Tyrone said.

Davis does have a visit set up with Eastern Washington this weekend, and may still take the trip. "I tried to call their coach tonight but I couldn't get a hold of him," he said. "I might take the trip, just because I've only taken two and it would be nice to get some reassurance of my decision."

Oregon State has not heard from Davis yet, and he plans on calling them in the morning. When asked how committed he is to Washington with the idea that he still has one visit to take, he said that he was pretty much '100 percent' sold on the Huskies.

"I've always wanted to play for U-Dub," he said.
