UW Softball now ranked #12

In St. George, Utah, this weekend, Washington won it's 18th and 19th games of the season by defeating Utah State 1-0 and then beating Utah 4-1 on the second day of the Red Desert Classic. The Huskies are currently ranked #12 in the country.

In the 1-0 win over Utah State, Ashley Boek threw a three-hit shutout at the Aggies, walking just one batter. She is now 7-1 on the season. The Huskies scored their run in the sixth when Amanda Oleson singled and later scored on a throwing error.

In the game against Utah, Jaime Clark hit her third home run of the tournament, a three run blast in the fourth inning.

Tia Bollinger got the complete game victory, throwing a four-hitter and striking out six.

Washington plays this morning against UC Santa Barbara before finally playing it's first home game on March 9th against Simon Fraser.
