Washington summary:
The Huskies will finally start fresh after years of instability and turmoil with the arrival of former Notre Dame head coach Tyrone Willingham.

Willingham wasted little time installing a new attitude this spring, preaching discipline - such as shorter hair and 6:30 a.m. position meetings - and saying that changing the culture that led to last year's 1-10 season was his biggest goal. That record was the worst in school history and the school's first losing record since 1976.

As for the team on the field, Willingham is cautiously optimistic, pointing to the return of 20 starters. The Huskies have a lot of returning players, but those players went 1-10 last year. If a quarterback emerges, Washington has some other pieces in place to win a few games and possibly contend for a winning record and a secondary bowl game.
