Richy Mulcahy update (4/16) received a quick note from Richy Mulcahy, the 6-4, 265-pound lineman from Mill Creek (Wash.) Jackson. Mulcahy took a quick trip down to Eugene, Oregon to check out the happenings during the Ducks' spring practices. He liked what he saw.

"I was impressed during a unoffical visit I had to Oregon this last weekend," Richy said. "I arrived an hour early for practice and was given a tour of the facilities. The highlight of the tour were the newly remodeled weightroom. After the tour was over I watched a short practice."

Richy attended practice at Husky Stadium last week and compared what he saw. "I noticed that Oregon was much more organized and prepared than the UW," he said. "I arrived at the UW sat down watched practice and left. Where as at Oregon, I was given a tour, and everyone was there wanted to make sure I had a good time."

Mulcahy also updated up on the letters he's been receiving. "I have been receiving information from Stanford, Oregon State, Washington State and most of the Ivy League schools," he said.

Richy also mentioned that he threw the shot over 50 feet a couple of weeks ago. We'll be in touch with Richy when he goes to the Oregon Nike camp with his Jackson teammates, including Craig Chambers, CJ Marsh and Jason Morris. Top Stories
