E-W athlete offered by Huskies

Kyle Trew is a 6-2, 215-pound running back/safety prospect from Edmonds (Wash.) Edmonds-Woodway and Trew is feeling good about things right now. He's been offered by his leader and is being acknowledged as a top in-state target by the premier sports network in the country.

"I've been running the 100 and 200 and 4x100 and also throwing the shot," Kyle told Dawgman.com yesterday about his spring. His season-best results, respectively, are 11.3, 23.9, 44.3 and 45'2".

And on the recruiting front? "Well, Washington offered me a couple of weeks ago and Washington State and UCLA have come by my high school," he said. "Washington State and Portland State have called my house." He'll also be attending the ESPN recruiting session at Washington tomorrow with ESPN's recruiting expert Tom Lemming.

"I thought it was pretty cool," Trew said about the offer by the Huskies. "I like them a lot and it's good that they like me." Does he like them enough to pull the trigger, ala Craig Chambers? "I haven't thought about it too much. I'm going to wait."

Kyle also confirmed his summer camping plans. "I'm going to the NIKE camp and then the U-Dub camp and then our team camp at Eastern Washington (University)."
