NoCal NIKE camp update - Quintin Daniels

Quintin Daniels is batting .1000. The 5-11.5, 180-pound receiver from Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola has attended two NIKE camps and has sat out of both. But being the competitor that he is, Quintin traveled the miles necessary to make the trip to Stanford to check out the scene and keep his face in the crowd.

"I pulled my hamstring after the last NIKE camp and I was planning on coming out today but I didn't get a chance to participate," Daniels told Dawgman.com. "But I did come because I'll be going to Stanford's junior day tomorrow."

Missing out on the camps hasn't hurt Quintin at all when it comes to the recruiting process. "Basically all the Pac-10 schools," he said when asked who has been hot on his trail lately. UCLA has stepped up to the plate with an offer for Daniels.

Last year he caught 35 balls for 500 and 7 touchdowns. He also had 3 picks and one fumble recovery from his safety spot. "I'm full of speed and agility," he said when asked about his best traits as a football player. "I haven't run a 40 in about a year and a half, but that time was a 4.5. It's probably lower than that now. I have great hands and can be coached."

Daniels has some interest in the Huskies. "My Dad is good friends with Warren Moon," he said. We'll keep you posted on Quintin in the months to come.
