NoCal NIKE camp update - Dennis Dixon

There were a ton of great field generals in attendance at last Saturday's NoCal NIKE camp at Stanford, and perhaps no QB helped themselves more than Dennis Dixon, a 6-4, 186-pound quarterback prospect from San Leandro, California. Dennis was already a known quantity because of his athleticism, but he let it be known that he can stay in the pocket with the best.

"It was worthwhile," Dixon told Dawgman.com after camp was complete. "I think I showcased my talents out there." Showcase them he did, as he ran a 4.5 40, a 4.4 shuttle and jumped 28 inches in the vertical leap.

Bob Johnson worked the QB's hard that day, and Dennis went home knowing what he needs to improve upon. "Probably my footwork, because I've got the arm to do it," he said. "It's just the little things now, then I'll be good to go."

Major D1 colleges have taken interest, as he already has offers from California, Washington, Oregon State, LSU, Colorado and Kansas State. "I haven't chosen yet," Dixon said when asked about a top-5. "I'm wide open right now. I think I'll probably make a decision in the late summer before school starts, but we'll see."
