Air Attack report - Alex Brink

Skill players from all over the Northwest have been heading down to Beaverton, Oregon to take part in the Air Attack camp the past few Sundays, and we went down there to see what the fuss was all about. One quarterback that was there was none other than Alex Brink, the 6-3, 180-pound signal-caller from Eugene (Ore.) Sheldon.

"It's just really nice being out here with guys like Johnny (DuRocher) and Ryan (Gunderson), getting to know them before the NIKE combine," Brink told last weekend. "It's just good to get out and throw too."

Even though the quarterbacks get their share of throws in, Alex is trying to improve things downstairs. "Footwork definitely," he said when asked what he was working on the most. "My arm's not really in shape right now so I'm just getting the footwork down."

On the recruiting front, Alex has received his first offer, courtesy of the Portland State Vikings. "Mostly Pac-10 schools and LSU," he said when asked who is currently recruiting him the hardest. "I'm keeping things wide open right now. I don't have a top-3, top-5 or anything."

Brink won't have to go far to attend the Oregon NIKE camp on June 8th. Top Stories
