NW NIKE camp report - Andre Piper-Jordan

Andre Piper-Jordan is a 5-11, 175-pound receiver/defensive back prospect from Federal Way, Washington, and Andre is going to have to make a decision soon. Will it be football? How about basketball? Baseball looks pretty good too. With those kinds of choices, Piper-Jordan may also have his choice of various scholarship offers. Recently he showed off his skills at the NW NIKE camp in Eugene, just to remind people that he's serious about playing ball this fall.

Andre ran a 4.51 40, 4.39 shuttle, repped 185 pounds 4 times and jumped 32.4 inches in the vertical leap. "They showed us a whole bunch of stuff, so I'm going to take everything they taught me," Piper-Jordan told Dawgman.com after camp was over. "Everything."

Piper-Jordan will be a key performer for Federal Way High School this fall, along with Anthony Dotson, and the local college has already been paying attention. "Probably U-Dub," he said when asked which school has been recruiting him the hardest."

The only problem with Andre's recruitment is that he won't be able to capitalize on the momentum he created with his NIKE camp performance. But he won't be sitting on his hands, either. "I'm not going to go to any camps because I'll be playing baseball all summer," he said.

Piper-Jordan plays center field, and baseball is a sport he would like to continue to play at the next level. "I'm going to try to," he said when asked about possibly double-sporting with football.

And he does have a list of favorites, although it is early. "U-Dub, San Diego State and Oregon."
