'Big V' makes mark at camp

Viliamu Kuaea is a 6-2, 317-pound offensive lineman from Lakewood (Wash.) Lakes, and 'Big V' went down to Eugene, Oregon to the Northwest NIKE camp to match his game up with the best the region has to offer. Kuaea learned some valuable lessons in Eugene, lessons he'll put to use his senior season.

"They are all huge!" Viliamu told Dawgman.com when the NIKE camp was done. "There wasn't anybody smaller than me out there. Whenever you would push, they would push right back."

But did he have fun? When asked that question, Kuaea can't help but break out into a big smile. "I had a lot of fun meeting new people and meeting some of the best players on the west coast," he said.

'Big V' is known for being agile for his size, but he's not satisfied. "I need to move my feet quicker, work on my agility," he said. He ran a 5.4 40 and 4.9 shuttle at the camp.

Now that the NIKE camp is over, Kuaea is focusing on the local camps and while he was anticipating going to Washington's team camp he will only be going to his team camp at Eastern Washington. "I want to go to the UCLA one if I can make it," he said. "A lot of schools say that they are paying attention to me. U-Dub, Oregon and UCLA."

His current leaders are Washington, Oregon, Oregon State and UCLA.
