Dotson making the rounds

There are a number of solid running back prospects from the south Puget Sound area this year, including Akeem Anthony and Anthony Russo from Lakes and Josh Bousman from Tacoma Baptist. Anthony Dotson, a 5-9, 173-pound running back / defensive back prospect from Federal Way, Washington should definitely be included in that group. He worked out at the NW NIKE camp in Eugene and had this to say about his camp experience.

"The best thing about the camp was just getting a chance to compete against the best players in the northwest, and being at a top university getting a chance to learn things from coaches that really know their stuff," Dotson told

Anthony tested well at camp, running a 4.5 40, repping 185 pounds 16 times and jumped 32.6 inches in the vertical leap. Hopefully those marks will start to get him noticed and the recruiting process is starting to heat up for him. "The two top schools right now are Arizona State and U-Dub," he said when asked about interest from colleges. "Idaho and Idaho State are recruiting me too."

Dotson enjoyed the NIKE camp and is looking forward to the other camps he'll be attending this summer. "I'm going to U-Dub's camp and our team camp at Western (Washington)," he said."

We'll keep you updated on Dotson's recruitment, as he'll be a sleeper to watch this fall. Top Stories
