ScoutTV: Kellen Kiilsgaard

QB/S Kellen Kiilsgaard, from Auburn, Wash., continues to be one of the hottest commodities in the Evergreen State. After receiving an offer from Arizona just Wednesday, the gifted athlete from the valley received another offer on Thursday when the Cal Bears extended a full ride.

"Coach (Mike) Dunbar called my coach and asked me to call them back," Kiilsgaard told "When I talked to him he told me that they have an offer for me. They said they are offering me as an athlete and that they want to see how my throwing comes along before they say whether or not I can play quarterback, but coach Dunbar said my skills fit in well with their new system down there."

"I'm just glad that I've gotten all these offers. It feels good to know that programs think I'm good enough."

Kiilsgaard also got a call from Washington offensive line coach Mike Denbrock last night, the last night that teams could call players during the May evaluation period, and the Husky offensive line coach made it clear what their plan was.

"He told me not to get frustrated that I don't have an offer yet," Kiilsgaard said. "He said that they want to see me throw in camp this month and then they will evaluate where they want me to play at.

"I am totally fine with that and they have been really straightforward with me about their intentions. I can wait on them."

Kiilsgaard now lists (in no particular order) Cal, Arizona, Arizona State, Stanford, Oregon, Oregon State and Washington State as his leaders, but says that Washington will be right there when and if they offer.

Kiilsgaard is a whirlwind as a quarterback, with the ability to pass out of the pocket or make plays with his legs. He's very reminiscent of Washington signee Jake Locker with his size and speed.
