Parrish setting up official visits

Freddie Parrish is a 6-1, 200-pound safety prospect from Long Beach (Calif.) Poly and Freddie is taking the recruiting process by the horns. A lot of players wait until their senior seasons are over before tackling the process, but not Parrish. He's already set up his first official visit and is very close to setting up his second trip.

"I'm taking my first official visit to Notre Dame on September 6th," Parrish told Dawgman.com. "They are playing that day against Purdue. I'm 99.9 percent sure on taking a trip to Washington, I'm just trying to decide when."

The entire Pac-10 minus California has now offered Freddie. UCLA recently offered at their camp. Notre Dame, Colorado and Nebraska also have stepped up to the plate with written offers.

Parrish is being recruited almost exclusively at safety, but that's not going to stop him from doing his best to help the Jackrabbits at receiver this fall.

Fox Sports West is profiling four elite high school football players in Southern California and Parrish was selected, along with Chauncey Washington, Tommy Grady and Devin Stearns. Freddie's feature will be on FSW August 6th at 7PM.
