Dawgs improve to 4-1

Washington went off for 21 points in the second quarter and that turned out to be enough to knock off the Arizona Wildcats this evening in Tucson, Arizona. The 21-10 win improves the Huskies to 4-1, 2-0 in the Pac-10 heading into their clash with USC next weekend.

QB Isaiah Stanback completed 14 of 25 passes for 292 yards and two touchdowns. He was intercepted once.

WR Sonny Shackelford had another big game, picking up 104 yards on 5 receptions, and had a touchdown. Quintin Daniels had perhaps the biggest catch, a 55-yard touchdown grab and run just before halftime that put the dagger into Arizona.

The defense held Arizona to -9 yards rushing.

Chris Fetters will have more stories from Tucson this evening and tomorrow morning.
