Washington gets second commit of weekend

Scout.com was able to confirm that Willie Griffin, a 5-foot-9, 190-pound running back from McClymonds High School in Oakland, Calif., verbally committed to Washington today over offers from Colorado, BYU, Oregon State and Utah.

McClymonds Head Coach Alonzo Carter felt that Griffin would commit on his official vist to Seattle this weekend, and that's what Griffin did.

"Yes I did," Griffin said when asked if he had decided to pick Washington as his college of choice. He also confirmed that he will not be taking any more official visits. He did have one scheduled for next weekend to Colorado, but said he wouldn't be taking it.

Griffin was on his way back home, so we'll have more from Willie later tonight.
