Top three remain unchanged for Canyon Springs LB

Drean Rucker is a 6-2, 225-pound linebacker prospect from Moreno Valley (Calif.) Canyon Springs and Rucker is one of the top 'backers in the state of California. Drean has had three schools in mind for a while now and it doesn't look like much has changed over the summer. The question remains; do the Washington Huskies even have a ghost of a chance at Rucker and what he brings to the table?

"It's so-so right now, medium interest," Rucker told Dawgman.com about his interest in the Dawgs. "I'd like to stay around home, the west coast. I mean, they have a good chance."

While Drean professes an interest toward staying out west, the Oklahoma Sooners seem to hold a special place in his heart, and he continues to name them as a leader even though they haven't offered yet. "Right now it's USC, Oregon, Colorado and Oklahoma," Rucker said, naming off the schools that continue to send him mail on a regular basis. "My coach has a bunch of letters at his office and I haven't looked at them yet. In May I heard from USC, Oregon, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arizona, Fresno State, Washington, Washington State and Arizona State." He's listing the Ducks, Trojans and Sooners as schools he's planning on taking official visits to right now.

By Rucker's count, USC, Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon State, Colorado and Oregon are the schools that have stepped up with scholarship offers.
