Trip Report - Devin Aguilar

Devin Aguilar is a 6-foot-2, 175-pound receiver prospect from Mullen High School in Denver, Colo., and Aguilar had verbally committed to Washington a month ago, and just took his official visit to Seattle this past weekend. Did his visit just reinforce his opinion the first time around?

"It reinforced my decision," he told Scout.com Sunday afternoon, adding that he is not going to take any other official visits. He is solidly a Dawg.

Aguilar talked about his visit. "I got in Friday morning. I met up with the staff and introduced myself. And then we got a tour of the school, and then later on we went downtown," he said, adding that his trip to the Space Needle was another highlight of the visit.

Quintin Daniels was Devin's host. "He talked about how they take care of you and how he likes it a lot," Aguilar said of Daniels. "He talked about all the different programs they have and he gave me the background on how he did things and he gave me an outlook on the school."

Aguilar wants to major in art history. Another one of the players that made a big impression on Aguilar was Marcel Reece.

Another highlight? Listening to Washington Head Coach Tyrone Willingham. "His speeches, and when he was talking to me, were always straight up," Devin said.

Aguilar, who had 53 catches for 1340 yards and 18 touchdowns this year for Mullen, is also a very good basketball player. During his visit, he spoke with UW Head Coach Lorenzo Romar and he's also been in contact with Cameron Dollar. "They like it when football players come on, because they like their toughness," said Aguilar.
