Mulcahy itching to play

If there's a player that needs to get out there and show those top D1 schools that he has the tools to play at the next level, it's Mill Creek (Wash.) Jackson lineman Richy Mulcahy. He's been busting his butt all summer to get ready and capitalize on his opportunities, but when it came time to play last Friday against Everett, it was a no-go. Why?

"I didn't play," he told "I tweaked my ankle a little bit. I could have played if I had to, but it was better to rest on it." He said he'll be ready for Jackson's next opponent - Shorewood.

Stanford, Oregon, Washington State, Portland State and Yale all called Richy since the beginning of September, and it looks like the Cardinal and Ducks are stepping up their recruitment of Mulcahy. "Stanford and Oregon have stepped up and I would like to take visits to those two schools," he said. "Also U-Dub and Wazzu, but who knows yet about those schools."

Richy is going to the Washington-Wyoming game this Saturday night. Top Stories
