RC kicker looking at Huskies

David Eisenhauer is a 5-11, 200-pound kicker from Rohnert Park (Calif.) Rancho Cotate, and Rancho Cotate is looking pretty good to the Washington Huskies right now. DL Alex Morrow is also looking hard at the Dawgs, making the possibility of two Cougars becoming Huskies the epitome of irony.

"I'm better at kicking," Eisenhauer told Dawgman.com about his preference for placekicking as opposed to punting. "I've been playing soccer since I was 4." As a junior, David had over 60 extra points and was 75% for touchbacks as a junior. His longest field goal in a game is 44 yards but has hit 3 from 60 in practice.

"Washington is recruiting me the most," he said when asked about recruiting. "Stanford is doing some and so is Washington State."

Eisenhauer is taking the interest from Washington seriously. "Tim Hundley has called and I went to Washington on an unofficial visit to San Jose State," he said. "I went up there with my Dad and my Grandpa. We talked to Chuck Heater and met Rick Neuheisel. We took a tour of the athletic facilities and went down and watched the warmups. We went into the locker room after the game."

He enjoyed the experience. "It was pretty neat," he said. "When you go down on the field, you get that tingly feeling. Being in the locker room was neat, seeing what they do at the next level. It would be fun to kick there."
