O'Dowd sleeper waking up

Jonathan Iglehart is a 6-0, 183-pound WR/CB prospect from Oakland (Calif.) Bishop O'Dowd, and if that school sounds familiar to Husky fans, it should. There's a current Husky - Matthew Fountaine - that also calls O'Dowd his high school, and Iglehart is possibly looking to follow Matt up to Seattle if things work out.

"He came down to school the other day," Iglehart said of Fountaine. "He said he likes it up at Washington. He's going to redshirt, I think." Washington Defensive Coordinator Tim Hundley is recruiting Jonathan for the Dawgs. "He said he's looking out for me and said he's interested in me."

Why are the Huskies interested in Iglehart? Well, his combination of size (6-0, 183) and speed (4.43 40) is appealing, especially on the defensive side of the ball. He had 24 solo tackles and one pick backing up a senior last year. "A lot of coaches say that I can get down and make a hit," he said. "They like my speed and that I can get to the ball."

Jonathan also runs track, with his best times in the 100 and 200 are 10.9 and 22.7, respectively. Washington isn't the only school to pick up the pace with regard to recruiting. Oregon State and Arizona are also regularly calling Iglehart. My Mom said that one day when I wasn't home that a school offered, but they haven't talked to me yet," Jonathan said. That school is San Jose State.
