Receiver looking at two

Jason Rivers, a 6-2, 185-pound receiver from Honolulu (Hawaii) Saint Louis, is still reeling a bit from their lost to De La Salle. Rivers scored a touchdown in that game, but mentally they haven't recovered. Their most recent loss to Kamehameha underscores that point.

"We're just in a slump right now," Rivers told Dawgman.com. "We thought we could be De La Salle, but things went wrong. We didn't follow our gameplan." Jason tweaked his hamstring just a bit, so he wasn't full-go against Kamehameha. "It's been a bit of a slow start for me."

Washington, Washington State, Oregon and Colorado are the schools that have kept in contact with Rivers, and two schools are standing out right now. "Washington State and Oregon are looking good right now. Jason Gesser went to Washington State and he comes back during the summers when we have our summer session. He throws the ball around talks about college and what it's like. I've been looking at them for quite a while. Obviously he throws the ball a lot and I want to be in that kind of an offense. With Oregon, it's just based on how my season goes and what they need. They keep telling me that they've been keeping their eyes on me."

He's going to set up official trips when his season is over, and it looks like he'll be visiting Pullman no matter what. "I would like to visit Oregon, but I'm not sure if I'm going to or not," he said. The Cougars and Colorado Buffaloes have been talking to Jason about an offer, but in his words "I don't have anything really solid yet".
