Trip Report: Senio Kelemete

The first commit for the Washington Huskies for the 2008 class was Evergreen DL Senio Kelemete and he took his official visit to Montlake this weekend. Dawgman.com caught up with him and he talked about his visit and said he's even more set on being a Dawg.

"It was a lot of fun," Kelemete said. "It was cool because I've been up there a lot and so I already know a lot about the school, but this time I really got to hang out with the players and see things from their perspective and what things are like there and that was probably the highlight for me."

Kalani Aldrich was Kelemete's host and he said they hung out with another Husky commit and his host as well.

"Me and Kalani hung out with Alameda (Ta'amu) and Daniel (Te'o-Nesheim) and the four of us just kicked it in their room," Kelemete said. "We're all from the same culture so it really worked out well to hang out together and just talk about different things."

Kelemete also visited with head coach Tyrone Willingham as well as his position coach Randy Hart.

"Coach Hart gets pretty fired up," Kelemete said with a laugh. "He was going crazy talking about all the talented guys they are bringing in for him to coach and he said he's excited to have me out at defensive end.

"Coach Willingham and I just talked a lot about what his expectations are from us and how he really wants to get to winning and that's really what we're all looking for."

So overall what did Kelemete think of his visit?

"Oh it was a 10 for sure," Kelemete said. "I just can't wait to be a Dawg and sign that paper."
