Trip Report: Adam Long

It's been a while since we've been able to catch up with St. Bernard (Playa del Rey, Ca.) CB Adam Long, but he took a trip to Seattle this weekend to visit the Washington Huskies and he came away impressed. Was he close to making a decision? Read on to find out more...

"I was real close to committing, but I really want to take all my trips," Long told while waiting for his plane to pull away from the terminal. "I got to meet with coach (Tyrone) Willingham and hang out with the players and we went to the Washington-Washington State basketball game which was exciting so, all in all it was a great trip."

Long's host on his trip was Quinton Richardson who showed him the campus and what life is like for a Washington football player.

"Honestly, it was just great hanging out with the team," Long noted. "They are like one big family. They like to have fun and just hang out. It was a lot of fun.

"I'm pretty sure Washington is where I'm going to end up. I loved the city, the school and the atmosphere, but I really want to take my last visit and then I will be ready to decide."

That last visit will be to Oregon State on January 18th and he said he will likely make his decision shortly after that.

"I might take another one, I'm not sure," Long said. "I visited UCLA already and Cal is another school I'm considering.

"All four have offered me so I have some decisions to make, but Washington is where I think I will end up."

To finish off his senior season for the Vikings, Long finished with over 900 yards and 17 touchdowns while posting over 50 tackles and one interception on defense.

He said Washington is looking at him as a cornerback and that they told him he could come in and challenge for time right away.

We'll have more from Long in the near future as he gets close to making a decision.
