Bouge a lineman to watch

Jacob Bouge (rhymes with 'rogue') is a 6-5, 255-pound lineman from Spokane (Wash.) University, and the First-team GSL performer as a junior is looking to put together an even bigger senior campaign. The Titans just took out Clarkston and are looking for more against undefeated Central Valley this Friday.

"I like defense more but I know that if I go to college I'll probably play offense," Bouge told "Everyone tells me that I'm built like an offensive lineman. I'm more of a physical guy." Has a brother, Brandon, is a senior offensive lineman for the Eastern Washington Eagles.

Jacob's been timed at 4.9 in the 40, benches 325 pounds and squats 405 pounds. He also wrestles and throws the discus. His personal best throw is 153-10.

Even though Bouge is living in the Inland Empire, the school on the other side of the state seems to be showing the most interest when it comes to recruiting. "Washington talks to me quite a bit," Jacob said. "Idaho talks to me a lot. Washington State not as much as Washington and Idaho. The Oregon State coach called me about 5 minutes ago. Oregon is recruiting me a little bit. I get letters from Oklahoma still, but that's probably because I'm still in their computer." (laughs)

Keith Gilbertson is the Husky Coach recruiting Jacob for the Dawgs. "He's saying they are interested in me," Bouge said. "They usually call me on Sundays after their games and tell me about their games and ask me about my games. They keep telling me that I'm high on their lists."

Jacob doesn't have any official visits set up, but could be close to that with one Pac-10 school. "Oregon State said that they don't have any film, and as soon as I send some down they'll talk to me about setting a trip up," he said.
