Tschirgi has four visits lined up

Josh Tschirgi is a 6-4, 275-pound lineman from Vancouver (Wash.) Skyview, and Josh's season is over. The Storm ended the regular season at 5-4, not enough to qualify them for the post-season. But instead of sitting back and enjoying some time off, Tschirgi went to Pullman, Washington last weekend to check out the Oregon-Washington State game. It was an unofficial visit, but he would like to make a return appearance soon.

"I just got back from the Oregon-Washington State game," Tschirgi told Dawgman.com. "Both are really good programs. WSU gave up a couple of touchdowns on offense. It's the first time I had been there. I really enjoyed talking to the coaching staff and the players after the game. Now I've seen every Northwest Pac-10 school. I took a tape up there and they told me that they would watch it first before doing anything. I also sent a tape to Stanford. There's a chance I could take a trip there too."

Josh has four official visits set up - Montana (11/24), Idaho State (12/6), Oregon (1/17) and Idaho (1/24). He currently has scholarship offers from Idaho State, Idaho, Portland State and Montana. "I don't know what happened with Washington, but I'm not hearing from them much anymore," he said.

The University of Oregon sound like they have a plan when it comes to recruiting Tschirgi. "Oregon told me that they are going after the blue-chip linemen right now," he said. "They've offered six linemen - one from Illinois, one from Texas...I can't remember where else. Roy Scheuning from Pendleton is another one. They've been telling me that if they get those guys than I won't get offered, but if they don't I'm the next player in line that will get an offer."
