Huskies in Moser's top-3

Mike Moser's stock is climbing and it goes without saying that college coaches are paying increasing attention to the Oregon native. caught up with him recently and he gave us an update.

"I averaged 18 points, 14 rebounds a game last year and was first team all state," shared the Grant High School star, who added that he checked in at 6-foot-8 and 205 pounds.

"I'm definitely working on my shooting and just getting stronger for the next level," he explained. "I'm trying to get into the weight room seven days a week."

The extra work is paying off for the lanky senior-to-be, who has been drawing notice from coaches as far away as the east coast.

"I'm pretty open right now," he admitted when asked about the recruiting process. " I have offers from Washington, WSU, Orgeon and Oregon State, Indiana, Marquette and Arizona.

"It really started picking up this spring after we won the state championship and the Labron James tournament in Ohio really helped me out," added Moser. "I think I played really well there, and than I followed it up with a good performance at the Cactus Classic (in Arizona).

"Recruiting's way different than you think it's going to be. When it first started, I was thinking of all the glamor stuff but there's a lot of pressure."

According to Moser, three schools have emerged as favorites as he nears his decision.

"My top three offers right now are Washington, Arizona and Indiana," he said

Clearly the University of Washington has made a big impact on him.

"Coach (Jim) Shaw and Coach (Lorenzo) Romar are the ones recruiting me," added Moser. "Coach Romar's a big family guy so I definitely confide in him a lot. They're just trying to show me my best option, but it's also close and they always have a pretty good team."

As for the timing of his decision, he's not ready to make a decision yet, adding, "I'll probably make my decision by fall."
