Enger wraps up visits with UW

O'Dea OL Grant Enger has been on three visits this past week and he took in Senior Day at Washington on Saturday. He talked about his time with the Husky coaching staff as well as his visit to the Bay Area to meet with the staffs of California and Stanford and he updated us on his timeline for a decision.

"It was a good visit today," Enger told Dawgman.com on Saturday afternoon. "I went up there on top of Husky Stadium and the Blue Angels buzzed us pretty good. That was fun."

Enger has been by Washington several times so far and said it was more of the same, but that he did get a few minutes to chat with head coach Tyrone Willingham.

"It was cool just to sit down with him and chat a little," Enger said. "He talked about the program and what he was trying to build there. He asked if I was close to making a decision and I said not really."

Enger also took a visit to both Berkley and Palo Alto this past week and he said he couldn't have had a better time.

"That place was great," Enger said about the area. "It's really beautiful down there and I had a lot of fun talking to the coaches and stuff.

"I got to meet with coach (Jim) Harbaugh for a while and he pretty much said the same things as coach Willingham -- just that they want me to come play there and they are trying to build a winner."

With three offers to his name, Enger said he's willing to be patient and take some visits before he decides.

"It's a huge decision for me," Enger noted. "It's not something I'm close to making right now. I want to take some official visits and then I can sit down and make some decisions."

Enger also noted he plans to visit Oregon State, his leader at the moment, before he and his teammates begin camp on August 20th.

O'Dea faces off against Capital when their season kicks off on September 6th.
