Danser enjoys visit to Washington

Versatile offensive line prospects are exactly what Washington is looking for and Bellarmine College Prep (San Jose) OL Kevin Danser fits that mold perfectly. He was in Seattle this weekend to take a look at the Husky football program and after arriving back home early Sunday afternoon he updated Dawgman.com on his impressions of his trip to the Emerald City as well as where recruiting stands...

"It was a really good trip," Danser said. "It just confirmed to me why I'm so interested in them and it was nice to put faces with the voices and emails that I've been doing all summer with them.

"The highlight for me was getting to sit down with coach (Tyrone) Willingham and talking about things with him and where he sees the program going. He's so straight-forward with you and he tells you up front what he expects. I respect that."

Danser said while he thought the scenery was nice, he was a bit taken aback with everyone's trip up the stairs to the roof of Husky Stadium.

"Getting to see the Blue Angels was really cool, but I definitely stayed real close to the stairs," Danser said with a laugh. "I'm not necessarily scared of heights, but it was a little high for me up there."

Danser said now that he has seen Washington, it's back to the business of focusing on making his senior season the best it can be.

"We're working hard and we want a championship," Danser said. "I'm not going to really focus on recruiting anymore and I'll take my visits after my season most likely.

"No one leads, but Washington definitely made an impression on me. I really had a lot of fun up there."

Bellarmine College Prep begins their two-a-day practices in two weeks and that is when Danser expects to really show how his offseason work has helped him.

We'll continue to follow Danser's progress over the next few weeks and update news as it happens.
