Feakin hearing from four

Cody Feakin is a 6-6, 250-pound lineman from Scappoose, Oregon and Feakin comes from the same small school that produced current Oregon State quarterback Derek Anderson. It's a bit of irony, then, that Feakin hasn't been hearing much from the Beavers, although that hasn't stopped the other northwest Pac-10 schools from paying attention.

"It really doesn't matter to me as long as I'm in the game," Cody told Dawgman.com when asked which side of the ball he prefers playing on. I think I'm going to play offense at the next level."

Feakin runs a 4.9 40, power cleans 255 pounds and benches 415 pounds. He has 10 sacks so far this year. Coaches love his athleticism, as he also plays hoops and does track

What was it like playing with Derek Anderson in high school? "It was fun," Cody said. "He's a fun guy to be around. It's fun to see him on TV."

Interestingly enough, you would think the Beavers would be looking back to Scappoose for more talent, but Feakin has been hearing from other schools. "Portland State, Oregon and Washington are calling quite a bit," he said. "I get mail from both Oregon schools and Portland State is calling and sending mail. Washington and Washington State too." He has no offers yet.

Who is calling Cody for the Dawgs? "Coach (Randy) Hart calls," he said. "I haven't talked to him in a little while, but he said that he's not sure where he would want to put me, offense or defense."
