Pollak switches visits

Mike Pollak is a 6-4, 275-pound lineman from Tempe (Ariz.) Corona del Sol and it took a strange turn of events for Corona del Sol to be edged out of the playoff picture. But the dominoes did fall, so that means just one thing now for Mike - a renewed focus on the recruiting process. And as such, he's made one major switch to his visit list.

"We didn't make the playoffs," Mike told Dawgman.com. "We were 6-4. We had high power points and were in the top-16 but there were a couple of upsets so we didn't make it."

So what has changed for Mike in regards to recruiting? "I'm taking a visit to Vanderbilt December 13th," he said. "Arizona still wants me to take a trip in January."

But when it comes to naming a leader, Pollak is as diplomatic as they come, especially for a player that has grown up in the shadow of a major D1 school. "They are all equal right now," he said. "I just need to stay the course. I don't want any reason to doubt my decision. I don't want to regret anything."

While his top-4 is looking mighty strong, there may be one school that could creep into the picture. "I might take a fifth trip to Stanford," Pollak said. "I'm not positive if I'll take it. I have to finish my application. The coaches have said that there's a scholarship waiting for me if I get accepted."
