Things picking up for O'Dea star?

One might think that after leading O'Dea's undefeated regular season campaign and subsequent run in the playoffs, their All-Everything middle linebacker would be taking it slow right about now. But Keandre Magee's recruiting season is just beginning to heat up, and coupled with his offseason training slated to begin next week, Magee figures to have plenty on his plate, including some scholarship offers.

"I'm just getting over a cold right now," said a hoarse Magee. He informed us that he's been in regular contact with Keith Gilbertson, and having taken his SAT this past weekend, one would think that a scholarship offer would be just off in the wings.

And Magee expects things to pick up as the bowl season winds down. "Coaches are busy right now with getting ready for their games," Magee noted. Monte Kohler, Magee's coach, has sent his star linebacker's tape to Oregon and Nevada, to name a few.

Magee, at 6'0" and 240 pounds, has the frame that projects him as a prototypical MIKE linebacker. Now his highlight tape need only convince Pac-10 coaches.
