Price likes UW hire

Since it came out that current USC offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian will be announced as the next head coach of the Huskies, St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Ca.) QB Keith Price, long a Washington commit has thought about the school he has committed to. On Friday he spoke with and he informed us of his thoughts on the hire as well as what his plans are over the next few weeks...

"I heard about the hire and I think it's a great move for U-Dub," Price said. "I haven't met him before, but he has a good rep down here, but I know that he has coached some good QBs at USC."

Price said he hasn't spoken with anyone from Washington in a few days, but said he is looking forward to speaking with Sarkisian in the near future.

"I can't wait to talk to him and start talking about things and his plans for the program," Price said. "I want to schedule a visit with them soon so I can go up and meet the new head coach and talk about the new offense and his plans."

While waiting for Washington to get in touch with him about his visit, Price will head to Tempe next weekend (Dec. 13th) to check out Arizona State.

"They have started to come on strong the past couple of weeks," Price said. "Oregon has been coming on really strong too. They were down here yesterday to meet with me and we were looking at things and going over my transcripts.

"I'm taking the ACT next weekend before I head to ASU and then I'll fly right out after that is over with. They said they will probably offer me on my visit, but they weren't ready to do it yet."

Price said his commitment to Washington remains strong and that he will give them every chance to get his signature when it's all said and done.
