Price sits down with Sarkisian

After finally getting to sit down and talk with new Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian, St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Ca.) QB Keith Price has firmed up his commitment to be a Dawg and he's set up his official visit. Now he says it's time to get to work recruiting some players to join him...

"I got to sit down with coach Sark tonight and it was really great," Price told Thursday night. "He came to my house and we ate dinner and he talked about where he wants to take the program and how I fit into the plan.

"I'm solid now. I'm a Husky and I can't wait to take my official visit up there."

Price had originally planned to take his official visit to Washington on January 23rd, but he's now going to be on Montlake on January 16th to check out the school he'll be at for the next four or five years.

"I'm excited because my mom will get to see the campus and meet with the coaches again," Price said. "It'll just be nice for her to see where I'm going to be and why I liked it so much."

Price noted that he will now get to work on the recruiting trail for the Huskies, trying to convince other southern California prospects to check out Washington.

"I'm working on my teammate (Will Shamburger) and James Boyd right now," Price said. "I'm also getting some numbers for some other guys down here that I can recruit, so I'm thinking we should be able to pull in some guys from down here."

Price had a solid senior season posting 2,264 yards passing for 24 touchdowns and only six interceptions while completing 71.5 percent of his passes. He also rushed for 579 yards on 118 carries and 10 touchdowns.
