Huskies offer SoCal sleeper

Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian and the staff he's assembled so far have been all over the place the past two weeks. Last week they doled out offers to several players and one that fills a position of need for the Huskies is Narbonne (Harbor City, Ca.) LB Tim Tucker. got the scoop from Tucker on his offer and which schools he's currently looking at visiting next month...

"Coach (Steve) Sarkisian and I talked last week," Tucker told on Sunday afternoon. "He said he wanted to make it clear that the Huskies were offering me and they wanted me to come and be a part of what they are building up there."

Tucker, who is a solid 6-2, 235 pounds, finished his senior season at Narbonne by posting an amazing 142 tackles, 5.5 sacks, two interceptions and three fumble recoveries while helping lead the Gauchos to a 12-1-1 record and a co-Los Angeles City Championship.

"I had a good year personally and I think we did really well as a team," Tucker said. "I'm mainly a between=the-tackles guy, but I can play sideline-to-sideline and get guys.

"I take pride in my instincts and stuffing the run, that's what I do best. I'm a downhill, attack the line of scrimmage, full-speed guy."

In addition to the Washington offer, Tucker recently reeled in an offer from Arizona State and he's been hearing quite a bit from Oregon, Colorado and Oregon State as well.

"I'm visiting Arizona State on January 16th, Washington on the 23rd and right now I have a visit scheduled with Oregon for the 30th," Tucker said. "Oregon hasn't offered yet, but they've been on me for a while and they could offer on my trip, but I don't know about that right now."

Tucker said he plans to take all of his visits before he decides, but he did note that with his teammate Josh Moten most likely headed to Washington that could weigh in his decision.
