Daniels has visits set

Quintin Daniels is a 6-0, 170-pound athlete from Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola, and Loyola's season is now over. And with it comes the second season for Quintin, full of phone calls, coaches visiting and tough decisions that lie ahead. But Daniels is taking it all in stride and begins his circuit of official visits this weekend when he heads north to Seattle to see the University of Washington.

"It was a little sluggish at the beggining because I had a hamstring injury and an ankle injury," Quintin told Dawgman.com when asked to recap his season. "But toward the end of the season I stepped it up. I think I played better on defense, because we ran the ball a lot and that didn't give me a lot of chances to get involved. Defensively I played just about every game, so they needed me more on defense."

So is Daniels getting a little tired of the recruiting process? "The hardest part is getting all the phone calls because you want to do other things, like homework or just relaxing or resting and the phone just keeps ringing," he said. "But it's alright."

The process won't last much longer, as Daniels is set to start taking his official visits. His Washington visit is this weekend. "I want to see the stadium," he said. "I've seen pictures of it and it looks really nice. I just want to meet the people and I want to see what they are like, see how everything goes up there in Seattle."

Quintin has Stanford (1/10), California (1/17) and UCLA (1/24) for the rest of his official visit list.
