Trip Report: Josh Moten

Washington got into the game late for Narbonne (Harbor City, Ca.) ATH Josh Moten, but they still managed to garner a soft commit from him once the new staff took over. Now, after taking his official visit to Montlake, Moten said he has one more trip to take before he will make his final decision although he says he still considers himself committed to the Huskies.

"It was a really good trip, I enjoyed myself a lot," Moten said on Sunday morning. "The coaches were cool and my host was Vonzell McDowell and he talked about the program and how if you live in Seattle, U-Dub is the school to be at.

"He also told me with the new staff a new attitude is coming in there and they are going to start winning soon."

Moten mentioned sitting down with the new coaching staff as his biggest highlight.

"Sitting down with them was cool," Moten said. "It was nice to talk with them about where they see me fitting in and how things will be for me there.

"They said they are going to give me a real shot at playing quarterback and then if things don't work out, then I can move to safety or something and that's fine."

Moten said he will host the Husky coaches on Wednesday night and then plans to take a trip to Colorado and make his final sometime next week.

We'll have more from Moten in the near future on what his plans are and update news as it changes.
