For Tucker it's all about the Dawgs

Washington got some good news over the weekend when Narbonne (Harbor City, Ca.) LB Tim Tucker told them he wanted to become a Dawg on his official visit. caught up with the gifted linebacker prospect and he talked about what ultimately sold him on the program and where he hopes to end up once he dons the purple and gold...

"I committed on Saturday night," a relieved Tucker told "Honestly, it was really just the feel of everything and on Saturday night when we were at dinner, I talked to coach (Steve) Sarkisian and I told him I wanted to commit to him and to be a Dawg and he said he was really excited.

"Now I just want to get done with things and get started. I'm ready to go right now."

Tucker's host on his visit was junior LB Mason Foster.

"He's real cool and he did a good job of letting me know about thing and what to expect when I get up there," Tucker said. "I think I will end up playing either in the middle or at SAM (strongside), but I'll play anywhere they want me to.

"I just want to make sure I get out on the field as soon as I can."

Tucker had been entertaining an offer from Arizona State, but he said the Washington offer was too much to pass up.

"I had a good time down there (in Tempe), but Seattle is where I wanted to be," Tucker admitted. "With the stadium right there on the water and the city right there, it's just the right fit for me."

For the season Tucker amassed almost 100 tackles while also pulling in All-League and All-City First Team honors.

We'll have more from the gifted linebacker on signing day.
