UW Men's Hoops Ranked 23rd

SEATTLE (Jan. 26, 2009) - After winning 13 of its last 14 games and leading the Pac-10 Conference standings, the University of Washington men's basketball team entered the national spotlight this week when Associated Press voters ranked the Huskies 23rd in today's national poll.

The Huskies have won four-straight games, including a sweep of USC and then-No. 13 UCLA last weekend, and own a 6-1 record in Pac-10 play. The UW's only loss in league play was a triple-overtime 88-85 home decision to California. Previous to that game, Washington's previous loss was an 86-84 setback to then-17th ranked on Nov. 25 in Kansas City, Mo.
