Kam lineman has all visits set

RJ Willing is a 6-5, 290-pound lineman from Honolulu (Hawaii) Kamehameha and Willing has recently finalized his official visit schedule. With one down and four to go, RJ is going to rack up some serious frequent flyer miles, going back and forth between the islands and the mainland three times before deciding where he'll go to school.

Willing and Kamehameha finished second in state behind St. Louis this year. "It was disappointing," RJ told Dawgman.com. "My whole football career we have been second-best to St. Louis and this was our chance to take it and we didn't. But I played really good. It was my best year yet."

RJ gave us the skinny on his first official visit. "I went to Oregon the weekend of the 13th," he said. "It was really good. I had a teammate (Enoka Lucas) that was up and he was my host. I felt really comfortable out there. He showed me a good time."

The Oregon coaches let Willing know that his offer was there whenever he wanted to take it. "I told them that I'm going on all of my visits before I decide," he said.

The rest of his visit schedule looks like this: Washington (1/10), BYU (1/17), Utah (1/24) and Hawaii (1/31). Willing claims offers from all the schools he's visiting.

Here's his thoughts on the rest of the schools he'll be visiting.

BYU - "Mainly because of LDS, so it's the whole church thing. I also have family that lives right next to the campus."

Utah - "Basically the same thing because it's almost the same environment."

Hawaii - "I don't want to say that they are my safety school, but they are close to home."

Washington - "I also have friends up there at Washington, Brandon Ala and Donny Mateaki. And they have a great program up there. I would feel comfortable up there too."

RJ and Ala have talked recently. I talk to Brandon," he said. "He just tells me that it's really good up there. The weather isn't as bad as what he thought it would be. That was a good thing. I was kind of worrying me. But he said the rain isn't that bad."

Willing is Mormon, and he's trying to decide how his mission will fit into his college plans. "I plan on going on my mission, but I haven't decided on whether or not I want to go when I'm 19 or wait until after I finish college ball and then go," he said.

And a favorite school right now? "It's a three-way tie between Washington, Oregon and BYU," he said. "I still need to decide."
