Huskies are high on Pullard's list

Crenshaw (Los Angeles) MLB Hayes Pullard is one of the top linebackers in the country has an offer from the University of Washington and he told Dawgman.com recently that he may be in Seattle next month to take in a day of camp...

The talented linebacker recently got offers from Florida and Oregon and he said that has opened his eyes, but he's still very high on the Huskies.

"I'm planning to take a trip up there for camp next month right now," Pullard said. "Washington is one of the schools that has made a huge impression on me.

"Coach (Demetrice) Martin and I talk all the time. He's a great guy and really easy to get along with. He'd be great to play for and I really like all of the coaches there, so they are definitely near the top for me."

Pullard said while Washington has been recruiting as hard as anyone, he's still not ready to name a leader.

"All of the schools are even right now," Pullard said. "I want to see who goes that extra mile and really shows me they want me. I mean, I have offers from plenty of schools and I'm still open, but if a school wants to separate themselves they need to show me different things – like how they would use me, how they will help get me to the next level and all of that.

"Really I need to see all the schools I'm focusing on and I'm probably going to do that this summer."

Likely candidates for Pullard's unofficial visits are Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Arizona State and Florida.

"I'm going to take my official visits before I decide," Pullard said. "I'm probably going to take a couple in the season and a couple after my season and then decide after that. It might be before Christmas or closer to signing day (February 3rd).

"The unofficial ones this summer are so I can take a look at the different schools and see which ones I really want to look closer at and then I will set up official visits later on."

We'll continue to track Pullard's progress and update things as news changes.
