Williams set to sign

Dawgman.com caught up with Corey Williams, a 6-3, 175-pound receiver prospect from Las Vegas, Nevada, and Corey is counting the days to when he signs his letter of intent to play football for Washington on February 5th. Tim Hundley visited with Williams yesterday to put the finishing touches on Corey's recruitment.

"Coach Hundley was here yesterday and he talked about how they lost three receivers and that two of the four receivers they are recruiting could come in and play right away, so I'm ready for that," Williams said. "He also told me about when I sign my letter and what to do about that. We might have a press conference at school when I do it."

Williams will be attending the all-city banquet tonight, where he was named to the first team as receiver. He caught 64 balls for a thousand yards and 17 touchdowns. The Huskies can't wait to see Corey in the purple and gold. "Coach Neuheisel said he likes the way I catch the deep ball," he said. "He said I can be the type of receiver that is a possession receiver too, but he likes how I can make big plays."
