Lewis makes decision during in-home

Rob Lewis, a 6-5, 210-pound linebacker prospect from Los Angeles (Calif.) Montclair Prep had an in-home visit with the coaches from Washington last night. After a successful official visit the weekend before, Rob was excited about having the Husky coaches visit so they could meet his Mother, Cassandra Yates. Well, Cassandra had some news for TheInsiders this evening.

"You didn't know?" she said. "He committed last night. They worked us," she added with a big laugh. "Of course they have the football, but Rob wants to go Pre-Med, so they talked a lot about that. And they would write him and talk to him no matter where they were. That was something that really stood out to me.

"Actually, it was their recruiting coach (Bobby Kennedy) that did it. You should thank him. He did it. Washington's always been there from the get-go, even when he wanted to go to USC and they didn't stop. They kept harping away at us and kept with it no matter what."

When asked if Lewis is going to take any more visits, Cassandra was emphatic. "No, he's committed," she said. "It's just been crazy. And I have to do this in a couple of more years with my other son."

We'll be in touch with Rob soon for his thoughts on being a Husky.
