Washington Makes Future Schedule Changes

SEATTLE - The University of Washington has made a number of changes to its future football schedules, including the addition of home-and-away series with the University of Hawai'i and the University of Wisconsin as well as a single game against Eastern Washington.

"We've made some enhancements to our future schedules that, I think, will really serve our program well," said head coach Steve Sarkisian. "It is a delicate balance to build schedules that provide the best opportunity for our team to be at peak performance. It is important to gain depth and experience as we compete for Pac-10 and national championships year-in and year-out. And, since our fans have such a great reputation for being loyal and loud, we want to have as many home games in Husky Stadium as we possibly can.

"I think it will be a great thing for the Pacific Northwest to play a team like Eastern Washington that has a solid regional appeal. Hawai'i and Wisconsin are two programs that annually compete at a high level and should provide really strong tests for our program."
