Trip Report - Jesse Callier

His commitment came out of the blue last month and since then Warren (Downey, Ca) RB/DB Jesse Callier has been hard at work getting himself qualified to enroll early. Dawgman.com caught up with the talented footballer and he updated us on things including his official visit to Montlake this weekend as well as when he plans to sign his letter-of-intent with the University of Washington.

"It was unbelievable," Callier said excitedly from Sea-Tac Airport. "I loved every bit of it. It was amazing to see the game and the fans were nuts and the coaches and the players were great. I mean, it was just perfect."

Callier's host on his visit was QB Keith Price and the two had known each other for some time so it was an easy pairing.

"I've known him for a while, so it was real cool," Callier said. "He showed me around and we talked about the boundaries, the expectations and the commitments you have to make to school and the program in order to be successful."

Callier committed to Washington on October 20th after receiving an offer, but he hadn't seen the campus until this weekend.

"The weather was nice actually," Callier said. "I like it cool and the whole place was a perfect fit for me.

"I'm fully qualified to sign on December 16th, so I'm signing my letter then and I'll be up here in January," Callier said. "I'm excited to get it started and get to learning the system and the program."

We'll have more from Callier down the road as he gets closer to signing his letter-of-intent next month.
