Jamora sets Washington visit

Kahuku (Hawaii) DE Hauoli Jamora committed to BYU early in the process, but has opened things up and is now considering several schools. Washington recently had an in-home visit with the standout pass-rusher and he updated us on things including when he plans to be on Montlake to take a look at the Husky football program, up close and personal...

"Things have been going well," Jamora told Dawgman.com as he traveled with his family on a holiday trip. "We didn't win it all, but we had a great season and I feel like I ended my high school career on a high note for the most part."

Jamora had been considered a commit to BYU for several months, but toward the end of his senior season of football, he began to open things up and Washington has been in the mix heavily ever since.

"Coach (Johnny) Nansen was just out here on an in-home visit and it was really cool to just sit down with him and get to know my family a little bit better," Jamora said. "We talked a lot about (Washington's) season and how things are progressing there. There is playing time up for grabs so that is a big thing going for them."

Jamora said he scheduled his visit to Washington for the 15th of January and he also has a visit set to another Pac 10 school.

"Oregon State set one up with me for the 22nd I think, but I might try and move that one up," Jamora said. "It would probably be the 8th or something like that. I'm not really sure, but right now it's scheduled for the 22nd."

Jamora took part in the Hawaii-Mainland game that took place earlier two weeks ago and he said it was a great experience.

"There were lots of great guys there and talented guys to face off against," Jamora said. "I had a lot of fun. I was thinking about doing the Army All-American game too, but I think I'm done. I need the rest."

Jamora said after his visit to Washington, head coach Steve Sarkisian will likely come out for an in-home visit as well and that he plans to decide sometime after his final visit and before signing day on February 3rd.
