Tupou commits to the Huskies

It's been a well-known fact that Archbishop Murphy (Everett, Wa.) DE Taniela Tupou was a heavy lean to Washington for some time and on Thursday after meeting with the Husky coaches he decided to end things.

Tupou's mother, Kawai, confirmed the news via text that her son had indeed committed to play his football for the Huskies.

With his commitment Tupou becomes the seventh known verbal pledge to the Huskies joining the likes of RB Brendon Bigelow, S Evan Zeger, FB/DE Elijhaa Penny, OT Maataua Brown, TE/DE Aubrey Coleman and CB Kameron Jackson in the 2011 class.

We will get more on Tupou's thoughts after he arrives home later this evening.
