Washington's Romar Signs New 10 Year Contract

SEATTLE (Monday, April 19, 2010) – University of Washington head men's basketball coach Lorenzo Romar will remain a Husky at least until the end of the decade after agreeing to a new 10-year contract that extends to the 2019-20 season, according to UW director of athletics Scott Woodward.

Entering his ninth year as the head coach of the Washington program, Romar recently agreed to the general terms of his new deal and is currently in the process of finalizing the specific language of the contract. Specific terms of the agreement were not released.
